DUE TO RAIN, WE ARE UNFORTUNATELY POSTPONING THE Q2 CLUB TOURNAMENT

Hosted by Bergvliet's Head Coach, Howard Herr, we will be enjoying a Saturday of dynamic, short matches culminating in a Final. All players - Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced - are welcome to join and play. Bring friends and family - and join us for a fun afternoon. There'll also be a braai (Bring your own meat). Members can play for free; Non-Member cost is R50.

Subscription & Fee Structure

Bergvliet Tennis Club in Cape Town offers a range of options for new visitors and existing club members based on their preferences as detailed in the table of fees below. Please note that BSA (Bergvliet Sports Association) fees need to also be paid in order to join the tennis club, and this is an annual fee structure.

Howard Herr

Howard, Head Professional Coach at BTC, is a former top-ranked junior player and Auburn University’s number-one player, leading his team to an SEC Championship. He is a former ATP Tour player before qualifying as a certified ATP Tour Professional coach. He brings 20+ years of experience coaching players of all levels, from beginners to professionals, including US Tennis Scholarship recipients. View More

Mo Patel

Mo, a TSA-certified coach, has coached at top schools including Rondebosch, Bishops, and Wynberg. He founded the M.Y. School of Tennis and has reorganised successful school tennis programmes. Mo coaches all ages, focusing on nurturing young talent and building lifelong passion for tennis, from beginners to seniors.

Mark Botha

Mark, a National Instructor with 15 years’ experience, began coaching in the US and now leads the Valley Tennis Academy. He has coached 13 Western Province players and specialises in improving skills, confidence, and fun for all ages. Mark offers personalised one-on-one and group lessons for juniors and adults.
